Bridges to the Present Moment

Here are some simple things you can do to move out of the egoic mind and into the present moment (Essence):

1.    Think of something you?re grateful for,
2.    Take a deep breath and/or pay attention to your breath for a minute or two,
3.    Pray for assistance in moving out of your egoic thoughts,
4.    Affirm a truth, such as ?All is well and unfolding as it needs to,? ?Let it be,? ?It is what it is,? ?It doesn?t matter,? ?This too shall pass,? ?It?s all good.?
5.    Look at something of beauty around you and notice how it opens your Heart,
6.    Listen to the sounds in your environment for a minute or two without evaluating them,
7.    Notice how your body feels without evaluating it,
8.    Notice what you?re thinking and ask, ?Is that true? Can I really know that??
9.    Smile, whether you are by yourself or with others,
10.    Say something nice to yourself,
11.    Say something nice to someone or state: ?May all beings be happy,?
12.    Slow down and enjoy what you are doing,
13.    Notice the pushy, ?hurry-up!? mental voice and don?t follow it,
14.    Think of a person or a pet that you love,
15.    Watch something funny or heartwarming on YouTube, like ?dancing merengue dog,?
16.    Remove yourself from negative and/or stressful situations and people when you can,
17.    Meditate daily and practice being present as much as possible.
